Jeff Barger, Chief Executive Officer & President, CEO
Recognizing a need for quality translation and interpretation services in the Pacific Northwest, Jeff founded Corporate Translation Services in 1991. The company name was changed to CTS LanguageLink™ in 1995 to better reflect the market’s needs, adding a new Telephonic Interpreting division at that time. Since then, Jeff has expanded the company to meet the needs of customers across the United States and Canada.
Jeff’s interest in the international arena has deep roots. Prior to founding CTS, he was a senior manager for one of the largest interpretation, language training and translation companies in the world: Berlitz Language Services. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Drake University and an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management.
Jeff oversees the company’s overall growth, direction and senior-level hiring. His focus on sales and overall expansion led to the company’s acquisition of two interpretation and translation companies: Merino Language Services in Seattle and Intex Multilingual in Los Angeles.
