Jeff Barger, Chief Executive Officer & President, CEO
Recognizing a need for quality translation and interpretation services in the Pacific Northwest, Jeff founded Corporate Translation Services in 1991. The company name was changed to CTS LanguageLink™ in 1995 to better reflect the market's needs, adding a new Telephonic Interpreting division at that time. Since then, Jeff has expanded the company to meet the needs of customers across the United States and Canada.
Jeff's interest in the international arena has deep roots. Prior to founding CTS, he was a senior manager for one of the largest interpretation, language training and translation companies in the world: Berlitz Language Services. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Drake University and an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management.
Jeff oversees the company's overall growth, direction and senior-level hiring. His focus on sales and overall expansion led to the company's acquisition of two interpretation and translation companies: Merino Language Services in Seattle and Intex Multilingual in Los Angeles.
Pam Ballard, Chief Operations Officer, COO
Pam brings more than twenty years of management experience to her role as COO. She joined the company in 2001 to manage the Translation Services Division—a role she held until becoming the COO in 2008. Pam oversees the profitability and efficiency of the Interpretation, Translation and Audiovisual Divisions. She also sets and monitors the sales goals and marketing campaigns, while managing programming priorities, expenditures and technology applications for the IT department.
Under Pam's leadership, the Translation Services Division saw record growth and efficiency. She spearheaded the implementation of a new project management database to track and monitor translation projects. She also elevated the use of various translation memory software tools, as well as new services and technologies to aid the company's translation staff and streamline the division's internal processes.
Pam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Portland State University.
Roberta Barger, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, CFO
Responsible for the company's overall financial stability, Roberta brings to her role more than fifteen years of experience working for accounting firms like Price Waterhouse and Jacobson & Lawrence. She provides monthly financial statement analysis and annual tax preparation, while also managing all of the company's financial and bank relations and 401K plan administration.
Following her tenure in the accounting field, Roberta owned and ran a family restaurant for fifteen years. Her responsibilities included the bookeeping, accounting, and overseeing the daily operations.
Roberta has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Seattle University and an MBA, Masters of Tax from Golden Gate University.
