Company NewsCTS LanguageLink Awarded Western States Contracting Alliance Contract for Over-the-Phone Interpretation ServicesFebruary 19, 2009 (Vancouver, Washington) – CTS LanguageLink™, a leading provider of translation, interpretation, and localization services, announced a major win for the company last week when awarded as one of the vendors for the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) contract. This contract is effective February 16, 2009 and is valid through 2011, with extension periods through 2015. The WSCA contract covers the fifteen member states’ Over-the-Phone Interpretation requirements in all languages, representing roughly 3 million minutes of annual service. This contract is available to all state entities, or other organizations who receive any public funding or grants, such as non-profits, school districts, and healthcare facilities. WSCA’s fifteen member states include Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. All participating states join together in cooperative multi-state contracting in order to achieve cost-effective and efficient acquisition of quality products and services. Additionally, because WSCA is an affiliate of the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO), any NASPO member state (49 states total) has the ability to utilize this contract as well, based on each state’s parameters. “Given the current economic landscape, we wanted to be able to offer the most aggressive, cost-effective solution for WSCA members and end users, without sacrificing service quality, so vital to today’s public service offices and organizations”, states Jeff Barger, CEO and President of CTS LanguageLink. The contract was sponsored by the State of Washington, and as a Washington State based business, CTS LanguageLink has a long history of working with many of the state, regional, and local entities that will utilize this contract. “We are thrilled with the announcement of this contract award. We are looking forward to working with all WSCA member states in the servicing of this contract,” says Sarah Gamble, CTS LanguageLink Interpretation Division Manager.
