CTS LanguageLink to Service all Interpretation Needs for Washington Healthcare Authority

August 1, 2012 (Vancouver, WA) We have been selected by the Washington Healthcare Authority (HCA) to provide multilingual on-site, telephonic and video remote interpretation services statewide for DSHS and Medicaid appointments. This three year contract represents a departure from the broker model HCA has used in the past, and will usher in a new era of efficiency and broader choice of modality in providing these services to Washington's limited English proficient (LEP) population.

"We are so excited to partner with the State and the Interpreter's Union to serve Washington's LEP population," says Sarah Gamble, CTS LanguageLink's Interpretation Division Manager. "We have already begun preparations for the service roll-out, and will be handling all interpreter-recruiting through our website. We encourage Washington State Certified, Recognized and Authorized Interpreters to submit their contact information through our web portal in the coming weeks. "We are anticipating that many interpreters that are a part of the Union will also be in a unique position to help CTS LanguageLink fulfill other contracts that we serve as well", says Sarah. "All interpreters will want to take advantage of the many opportunities we can offer".
