TRANSLATION & ADAPTATION
The choice of voice-over versus
subtitling at the onset of the project is critical to the translation.
Depending upon the selected medium, translations have to follow different rules
of adaptation. Likewise, a transcription
for a script intended for subtitles has different time-coding constraints from
one intended to be voiced-over.
At CTS LanguageLink™, our writers/translators are not only refined linguists,
they are consummate writers in their own right, who know how to use their craft
to produce time-fitted translations with tone, register and content accuracy.
Despite the compliance of the translation to exacting time-constraints, there
may be some minor adjustments to make in the studio when proceeding to the
rendering of the subtitles or voice-over recording.
Native voice-directors and language
assistant editors will insure this smooth adaptation by making those
last-minute changes in the final quality assurance stage of the project.
