EDITING, MIXING & LAYBACK

Editing

The following are the steps involved in sound editing:

1. Clean up breathing
2. Lip noises
3. Noises in between phrases
4. Creation of in/out fades
5. Lower levels of some P, K, Js, etc
6. Stretching dialogue as needed, etc

With years of experience, our professional voice talents have acquired a consummate microphone technique, which translates into considerably less editing time and in turn greater savings for our clients.

Mixing

The following are the steps involved in the mixing process:

1. Equalization
2. De-essing
3. Compression
4. Special EFX if needed
5. Overall multiband compression
6. Levels automation (voice & music)

Layback

The following are the steps involved in the layback:

1. Patching
2. Set Tones' levels @ -20dB
3. Record 1 minute of tones before program
4. Adjust program to appropriate levels on the Master
