We firmly believe that one can only translate what one fully understands, and one can only translate accurately what one fully masters. Quality assurance starts with the selection of the best-qualified language team for the project at hand.

From our pool of exceptional linguists, CTS Project Managers will select an expert team based on the specifics of your project.  Those specifics include language combination(s), language direction (English>Spanish or French>Arabic, for example), and the subject matter of the text.  With CTS LanguageLink™, you can be assured that your project will be handled by language professionals who have native fluency in the target language, native or near native command of the source language, expertise in the subject at hand and who share the same culture as the target audience (U.S based, in-country, regional targeted end users with a specific dialect, etc).

In order to qualify as CTS linguists, candidates must hold higher education degrees and demonstrate extensive professional experience in their subject of expertise.  In addition, they must successfully pass our internal testing program, which scrutinizes the linguist's understanding of semantics, grammatical and typographical rules, as well as their stylistic flair, and ability to seamlessly adapt the source document to the target audience.

Depending upon the language pair, we may also require certification by recognized professional organizations, such as American Translators Association (ATA), California Court Interpreters Association (CCIA), National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT), Southern California Area of Translators and Interpreters Association (SCATIA), etc.  Unlike other agencies; we do not hire translators based solely on their certification/accreditation. These credentials are helpful in demonstrating that candidates are actively involved in the translation industry and have adequate written language skills, but they are not indicative of a translator's familiarity with industry-specific subject matter.
